John M. Azarian of The Azarian Group, L.L.C. is pleased to announce that his company recently received governmental approvals for the major renovation and expansion of The Allendale Shopping Plaza, Allendale, New Jersey.

The approvals include an entirely new layout and design of the parking lot including new stripping, curbing, islands, landscaping, access, pedestrian walkways, etc. In addition, the entire facade of the shopping center will be updated and renovated to match A&P’s newly renovated Fresh Store. Also, the shopping center on the north end adjacent to Village Pizza, will be expanded by approximately 5,000 square feet with new retail space.

Construction should begin on or about September 1, 2008 and will start with the parking lot and site work. The next phase will be the façade of the building and lastly the new stores. All work should be completed by Spring, 2009.

Raritan International Center, 426 Raritan Street, Sayreville, New Jersey

  1. Prompt Catering II, an upscale cafe restaurant has leased 2,500 s.f.  They operate one other location in the area.

  2. VIP Nails has leased 1,800 s.f.  VIP Nails operates two other locations in the area.

Plaza K Shopping Center, 181 Route 1 South, Woodbridge, New Jersey

  1. HKG Kitchen and Bath has leased 2,100 s.f.  HKG sells and installs kitchen and bath fixtures and decor.  They operate five other locations in Northern New Jersey.

  2. InkStop has leased 1,660 s.f.  InkStop sells computer printer laser and ink cartridges.  They operate over 75 stores throughout the United States.

With the acquisition of the Lenox Plaza Shopping Center, The Azarian Group has closed on its third shopping center acquisition in less than nine months.
